Aero

Titles:
Breed:  Border Collie Mix
First Flyball Title:
Birthdate: 12/15/17
Handler: Karen Brandon

Bio:
Aero is a rescue from Northern California Border Collie Rescue, but he was actually born on our friend, Trudy’s farm on Christmas Day.  He and his 7 siblings had the most loving, happy start to life.  We were lucky enough to get pick of the litter and we chose Aero.  He has our Amie’s markings and our Riley’s blue eyes.  He is spunky, eager to learn and fearless.  He loves to tug!  We are starting our flyball training with Aero early and we can’t wait to see what fun adventures he takes us on.  We will introduce him to beach and hiking soon.  His name is fun because we can say Beau and Aero or Aero, el perro!

Dodge

Titles:

Breed:  Welsh Corgi Pembroke

First Flyball Title:

Handler: Jessica Jones

Bio:

We adopted Dodge at 5 years old after we met him at – of all places – a Flyball demo the team was doing at Relay For Life. We weren’t looking for a second dog but I was instantly smitten by the smiling corgi in the “Adopt Me” vest. The rest is history!

To meet Dodge is to love him. He LOVES people and will literally sit on your feet to get you to pet him. He’s also a klutz. He made himself a bit infamous at the first Flyball tournament he attended by knocking over the light tree… Dodge is getting his start at Flyball a bit later in life but is making great progress. I’m confident he’ll be racing – preferably without trashing the place – in the not-too-distant future!

First Flyball Title:

Handler: Bruce Moore

Bio:

Jasper is an Australian Shepherd from a long line of working farm dogs. We got him as a 4 and 1/2 month old pup in early 2017. He was a cute, crazy little thief as puppy.  He is adapting well to living in suburbia, though he gets a little too excited by moving cars, trucks and bicycles. He is very sweet, energetic and a lot of fun. Jasper is just starting to settle into flyball. At first he was hard to detach from the ball but he is starting to find his tug can be even more fun.

Parmesan

Titles:

Breed:  American Eskimo Mix

First Flyball Title:

Handler: Sydney Sherlock Costantino

Bio:

Parmesan is an American Eskimo mix and was adopted on 2/7/15, and was about 1.5 years old also a hand full, with that Eski attitude. Parm was a smart cookie from the start and started to learn party tricks, like waving, playing dead, jumping through hoops, and more. He started flyball in the same year (2015), he picked it up just as quick, but the whole bringing the ball back. After lots of trial and error, we found one ball that he does like, even getting a nick name ‘Flying cheese’ but truth be told, Parmesan is a total mama’s boy.

He hasn’t quite made it to the teams yet, but he is having fun while trying to get there!

Peppermint

Handler: Sydney Sherlock Costantino

Bio:

Peppermint’s a mutt, any breed you think she is, you can see it, and was adopted on 5/3/14, she was about 1.5 years old, and a love from day one. Peppermint has been perfect from the start, and is smart as a whip, sometimes a little stubborn, but makes up for it with kisses. She will lick your face raw if you let her. She started flyball not too long after her brother, Parmesan, in 2015. She loved the ball part of it, but the going back to mom was another story, tell she found her tug and then it was game over.

She hasn’t quite made it onto teams yet, but is still trying to get there!
